Venelin lies in northeastern Bulgaria, in Dolni Chiflik Municipality, Varna Province, on the left bank of the Kamchiya River at about 53 metres elevation.

A car is the practical way to visit. From Varna, follow the road south towards Dolni Chiflik and turn inland for Venelin; the drive from the city normally takes well under an hour.
Varna has the nearest airport, long-distance buses and trains. Public transport into the village itself is limited — if you are visiting without a car, ask us about current options before you plan the trip.
In the village: the church of Archangel Michael, the old village streets, gardens and farmyards, and the open landscape of fields and low hills that surrounds everything. Walking here is the point, not a means to it.
Venelin is a living village, not an attraction. People work, keep animals and live their lives here. Greet people, ask before photographing anyone, keep to public roads and paths, and do not enter yards, fields or orchards — almost all land is privately owned.
If you would like to meet us while you are here, write ahead — we are happy to say hello when we can.
